Dr. Vithal V. Kamat - Chairman and Managing Director
Dr. Vithal Venkatesh Kamat, a second-generation restaurateur, a pioneer in green hotels, an environmentalist, an entrepreneur, an educationalist, an antiquarian, an ornithologist, an author, a globetrotter, and a black belt holder in karate, is a versatile personality. Having begun his journey in a small, family-owned vegetarian restaurant, Dr. Vithal Kamat today is Chairman and Managing Director of Kamat Hotels (India) Limited.
Dr Kamat is a recipient of many national and international awards including ‘Best CEO of Industry Award’ by The Indian Express, ‘Golden Peacock Award’ received from the hands of His Holiness The Dalai Lama, and the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in Berlin, Germany.
Mr. Bipinchandra Chunilal Kamdar - Non Executive Director
Mr. Bipinchandra Chunilal Kamdar has been inducted on the Board w.e.f 6th August, 2016. Mr. B.C. Kamdar is a Science Graduate. Mr. Kamdar is associated with the Hospitality business since the last 30 years.
Mr. Dinkar D. Jadhav - Independent Director
Mr. Jadhav is a Science Graduate with major in Physics and Mathematics and has done diploma in Business Management. He has worked with Shipping Master Port of Calcutta, Siemens Employment Office as Dy. Director, Ward Officer Bombay Municipal Corporation, Municipal Corporation of Greater Bombay as Dy. Municipal Commissioner presently working as a chairman, Senior Level Grievances Redresal Committee, MMRDA and Chief Project Advisor in NGO Called SEWA. Mr. Dinkar Damodar Jadhav was appointed as a Director of the Company w.e.f 21st September, 2013.
Ms. Himali Mehta - Independent Director
She is a M.E. Environmental Engineer and B. E. Civil Engineer. On 22nd December, 2014, she was inducted as Director of the Company w.e.f 20th December, 2014.
She has worked as In-charge Head of the Bioconversion Technology Division since 2008. Her work involved identification of specific components in alternate energy (focusing on biogas generation from alternative material and application of biogas in various fields like thermal, engine operation and as transport fuel), developing proposals for seeking funding, design of appropriate structures, planning, execution and monitoring of the project and submission of project completion reports.
